My name is Jodilyn Owen.
Please review my CV and let me know how we can work together. I am passionate about the intersection of social justice and healthcare, and find that midwives do great work on the front lines of public health. I am dedicated to creating meaningful connections for community-based perinatal healthcare and the larger healthcare system.
I offer workshops:
- for medical and midwifery practitioners looking to reawaken their passion and connection with the work they do
- for medical practitioners looking to reduce their cesarean section rate
- for redesigning the preceptor-student-resident relationship
- midwifery students in their final year of education looking to design a professional life of meaning before they jump in.
I offer the unique Cesarean and VBAC Eval Program (CVEP) for parents who have experienced a cesarean and/or are planning a VBAC.
Most of all, I love mothers and babies and believe that they have the right to healthcare that meets them where they are at through a social, economic, and cultural lens. My goal as a midwife is to help parents greet their new baby from a place of physical and emotional health and strength.
